About Me

I’m Marissa Paulsen, Product Manager turned fractional product consultant and freelancer who thrives on helping early-stage startups bring clarity and momentum to their product work.

Over the past 7+ years, I’ve led product strategy, development, and execution at high-growth SaaS startups across the health, wellness, and fitness industries, from Pre-Seed scrappiness through Series B scale. Along the way, I’ve:

  • Built product foundations from scratch: roadmaps, discovery processes, sprint rituals, and product ops frameworks that helped scale without chaos.

  • Turned around off-track projects by diagnosing blockers, resetting priorities, and leading cross-functional teams to launch successfully.

  • Shipped impactful features including 0→1 products and AI-driven tools that improved engagement, conversions, and retention.

  • Balanced high-level vision with hands-on execution, rolling up my sleeves where needed to move work forward.

I know firsthand how messy early product work can feel (I’ve experienced it!). Founders are stretched thin, priorities shift daily, and launches don’t always go as planned. That’s where I come in: a part-time partner who can quickly plug in, create structure, and drive outcomes - without the commitment of a full-time hire.

When you need someone to set the foundation or get a launch back on track, I’m here to help.

Great products don’t happen by accident — they’re built with clear foundations and consistent execution. If you’re ready to put the right structures in place, I’d love to help.
